Can I use Call Transfer with VOIP?
Hello I hope someone can help me I have been on the phone today for 5 hours to BT and I still do not know the answer so if there is anyone out there who knows about voip then please answer. Basicaly I currently have a residential bt line with unlimited calls in the UK but I have started to work from home and I need to have a facility on my phone where if I call up a client and then I want to transfer the client to one of my colleagues at another office, notify my colleague that I have a client on the phone and then hang up leaving just the client and my colleague on the phone.BT say I cant have this feature on a residential line-need a business feature line.Calls on a bus line are 10p so I looked into bt business broadband voice which is £20 a month but offers unlimited voip calls however I still need the facility to transfer potential clients and I have spoken to many people at BT some say it is possible if I have a IP phone with a transfer button some say its not-does anyone know?
you can only accomplish that thru IPBX!!!
