How To Set A Wireless Home Alarm

Remote Assistance with D-Link router?
I need to connect to my computer at home which is behind a D-Link 624 airplus xtreme G wireless router (the pc is using a wired connection)
Another thing, I want to avoid request sending. I want to be able to access my computer from any other computer i use.
How do i find out the complete ip address which i will type in on any other computer to get me connected to mine?
and
How do i exactly need to configure my computer to automatically allow all the requests?
One last question, is there any other setting of SP2, windows firewall or Zone Alarm Security Suite that i need to configure so that they will allow the connection ?
It sounds to me like you want to use REMOTE DESKTOP not remote assistance. (assistance requires an invitation – desktop does not!)
You will have to 1. setup remote desktop and 2. portforward from the router to the desktop you want to be able to control from outside the LAN. Or you can setup a VPN which allows you to connect to all computers on the lan.
You can find the IP you are on by using http://whatismyip.com
BUT if you have a dynamic IP (most home users do) it will change. – You can track it with a service like http://dyndns.com
There are several things that will have to be allowed in your firewall for any of this to work! (Remote Desktop for sure!)
Understand, this is a method of attack so be careful or you will be compromised – use really good passwords and be sure all users use a real password including Admin! (usually not set in XP)
Here is a great place to start
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/mobility/getstarted/remoteintro.mspx
you can also search Microsoft for how to use the XP VPN!
All that being said, its easier to use hamachi from https://secure.logmein.com/products/hamachi/vpn.asp?lang=en or gotomypc from https://www.gotomypc.com/tr/ggp/BL/GoToMyPC-exact/g25sem?Target=mm/g25sem.tmpl&CMP=KNC-Google for this than it is to setup using the MS system. Even real VNC is easier to setup http://www.realvnc.com/.
Hope that helps
