Dead Bolt Door Lock

stealing manager/significant other..can I change my lock?

People are loosing things from the laundry room…manager said he would change locks…..not going to now……he and his ’significant other’ (pediphile and rap sheet with burgulary) that is on parole and CAN NOT SLEEP HERE but is otherwise here….are probably the ones stealing….key is being used, so why should they go to the expense of changing the lock!
I want to change the dead bolt lock. on my front door, and was very sternly told that I would be evicted if I did.
San Diego California…….is it legal for me to change the lock and not give the ‘manager’ a key, when they have been known to in the past to steal from tenants????

no…you cannot legally change the key…if there is an emergency, they will need to get in if you are not home.
